I originally trained as a dancer, singer and actress at the Italia Conti Stage School in the late 70’s and early 80’s before leaving the entertainments profession in 1988 to start my own doll making business called ‘ANGELIQUE MINIATURES’.
With a life long interest in the theatre, it was only natural for me to create dramatic historical figures, Fairy Folk and other fantasy characters.
Amongst my current range are numerous fairy characters, mermaids and pond dwellers, witches, wizards and enchantresses plus several historical favourites such as Henry VIII and his wives and Elizabeth 1st, to name but a few.  My latest collection is called ‘ONCE UPON A TIME…..’ and includes many well known fairy tale and nursery rhyme characters such as Sleeping Beauty, Little Bo Peep, Snow White and many more.
All my dolls are made to order so that each doll can be a creation of both the customer’s and my own imagination. Or I can recreate characters from photographs and portraits.
I specialise in the Medieval and Tudor periods but can create character dolls from all eras, from Stone Age to Space Age, from surfs and peasants to royalty and gentry!
All my dolls are one-twelfth scale and cast by me in fine bisque porcelain from commercial molds. Most of the dolls have a soft wired body with porcelain lower arms, lower legs and torso so are very ‘poseable’.
I always welcome commissions but am also happy to recreate most of the dolls shown on my web site. It was once said of me ‘Angelique is like the Genie of the lamp.’ So, if you would like a doll made to the highest possible standard but at a realistic price…..
